Mr. Anjani K. Agrawal completed his Chartered Accountancy in 1980 with a national rank.  He also became a Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors USA. He added premier degrees like Advance Business Strategy from INSEAD; and Business Sustainability Management from Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) at THE UK.

In his 45-year-long professional career, he advised a large number of Indian and international companies across sectors. He was a partner at EY for 26 years, where he started with Audit, handled transactions and valuations; before setting up the firm’s advisory/consulting practice in India. He worked with Indian MNCs and global corporations across a wide variety of sectors including energy and infrastructure sectors like power generation & utilities, oil & gas, capital goods and EPC. He also advised cement, automotive & industrial, consumer & retail, and financial sector companies.

With vast experience in the metals sector across aluminium, copper, steel, diversified metals and mining; he held the role of Global Metals Leader at the firm. He provided business advisory services to many large metal companies on business transformation, strategy, process innovation, enterprise risk management, operational efficiency, enterprise intelligence, governance and compliance, sustainability strategy, policy & reporting.

He worked with clients across North America, Latin America, Europe, CIS, Middle East and South East Asia. He has also authored over 25 Thought Leadership reports across the various sectors, including metals, mining and power.

He has been the National Committee Member and speaker at industry bodies like CII, FICCI, FIMI, ICC, IIA, IMC etc. He also worked closely with the Central government and NITI Aayog on policy making and strategy; around metals and mining sector initiatives.

For last several years, apart from evangelising sustainability, he is also personally involved in the social sector with impact investing and social entrepreneurship development. He is a member of a national advisory board of social sector NGOs focussed on tribal and rural development, women entrepreneurship, gender & social equity, informal education and cultural development. He has also been a guest lecturer at business schools like Indian School of Business and SDA Bocconi among others.
